THE SCOPE OF WORK for this project involves the furnishing and delivery of twentyfive hundred (2,500) tons, more or less, of AASHTO M43 Size No. 8 Triple Washed Aggregate, and twenty-five hundred (2,500) tons, more or less, of AASHTO M43 Size No. 7 Triple Washed Aggregate. The aggregate shall meet the requirements of the Talbot County Roads Department and the "Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration Standard Specifications for Construction and Materials dated January, 2018," Additions and Addenda thereto. Samples of stone to be delivered must be provided to the Talbot County Roads Department prior to award of bid. All deliveries will be subject to approval by the Talbot County Roads Superintendent or his designee. All aggregate shall be delivered by truck to the Talbot County Roads Department Yard, 605 Port Street; Easton, Maryland. Contractor shall guarantee completion of delivery by May 15, 2022. Product is not to be delivered in freezing temperatures. Delivery must be approved by the Talbot County Roads Superintendent, or his designee. THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF TALBOT COUNTY reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept any bid, or portion thereof, when in their reasoned judgment the general public will be better served.
