Scope of Work These specifications describe the work to provide all labor, supervision, equipment, services and expertise required to make improvements to the culvert on Farnsleigh Road (PPN 736-10-001). The general scope of work includes removal and replacement of the 6-foot by 12-foot RCP culvert, cast in place headwall and site restoration. The Box Culvert project needs to be completed by March 15, 2022; RMS Investment Corporation will start Phase 2 of the Van Aken Development, located in close proximity to the Box Culvert project,after March 15, 2022. The Box Culvert project contractor should assume this is a standalone project and there will be minimal coordination with RMS's contractor. In an effort to accelerate the schedule, the City of Shaker Heights is in the process of developing the fabrication drawings & pricing for the box culvert. The shop drawings & pricing for material will be provided to the contractor that is awarded the project. It will be the contractor's responsibility to release the box culvert for fabrication. The bid form has two line items associated with the box culvert replacement. One line item will include the labor, equipment and other material associated with the installation of the proposed box culvert; the other line item will include the material cost only, as provided by the fabricator, for the proposed box culvert. The full construction contract value will include the cost of material for the proposed box culvert plus the other items detailed on the bid form.
