Renovation of a municipal facility in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Massachusetts Development Finance Agency (MassDevelopment) is soliciting sealed bids from qualified bidders for the Building Code Upgrades 1550 Main Project Project in Springfield, MA, in order to be code compliant under the Massachusetts State Building Code. The building is located at 1550 Main Street, Springfield, MA (the "Site") and is a 150,000 gsf, 5-story office building. The scope of work includes interior and exterior renovations, incl. but not limited to, new door hardware, new fireproofing and firestopping, gypsum board repairs and infill, painting, new acoustic panel ceilings, relocation of sprinkler heads, duct modifications, and electrical work including new interior and exterior lighting fixtures, in accordance with the drawings and specification MassDevelopment encourages all qualified contractors to bid, including women-owned and minority-owned contractors. This project is subject to Massachusetts prevailing wage laws. MassDevelopment reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Award of a contract for the work contemplated by the IFB may be subject to the approval of MassDevelopment's Board of Directors.
