This RFSQ is an opportunity for general contractors to be prequalified for eligibility to provide New Elementary Schools, Major Additions and Renovations projects for the Board. It is the intention of the Board to include all general contractors prequalified through this RFSQ process in the prequalified supplier/Vendor of Record List for Categories established based on project's estimated construction value. Prequalified general contractors will be invited to provide competitive bids on potential subsequent invitational procurement processes utilizing the following Categories A, B, C, D and E that are based on project estimated construction value excluding applicable tax: Category A - New Elementary Schools with an estimated construction value of $16,000,000.00 or less Category B - Addition and renovation projects with an estimated construction value between $4,000,001.00 and $8,000,000.00 Category C - Addition and renovation projects with an estimated construction value between $2,000,001.00 and $4,000,000.00 Category D - Addition and renovation projects with an estimated construction value between $600,001.00 and $2,000,000.00 Category E - Addition and renovation projects with an estimated construction value of $600,000 or less General contractors that were approved and/or have completed construction of New Elementary Schools with value up to $16,000,000 and/or Major Additions and Renovations projects for the Board in the past must re-apply and subsequently will be re-evaluated to be considered for inclusion in the Vendor of Record List for the term of this RFSQ. The VOR List for all categories is established specifically for construction capital/renewal projects funded by the Ministry of Education.
