Sharyland ISO is soliciting proposals from reputable contractors for replacement of air-cooled chiller, secondary chilled water pumps and VFDs including modifications of chilled water piping, controls, and electrical systems. The Board of Trustees of the Sharyland Independent School District, Mission, Texas request competitive sealed proposals on: CSP 2122-34 Shary North Jr High School Chiller Replacement Phase 2. Proposals will be received in accordance with the Instructions to Proposers and the Proposal Form. Only a bona fide sealed proposal(s) will be considered at opening time. All proposals received after the stipulated time for bid opening will be returned to the proposer unopened. Proposal sealed envelope shall be plainly marked NO. 2122-34 Shary North Jr. High School Chiller Replacement Phase 2. Faxed Proposals are not acceptable. The request for competitive sealed proposals that includes construction documents, selection criteria, estimated budget, project scope, schedule and other information that contractors may need in order to respond to the request may be obtained from, or inspected at: Ethos Engineering All proposals must be accompanied by a cashier's check drawn upon a national or state bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum price, payable without recourse to the Owner or a bid bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company, as a guarantee that Proposer will enter into a contract and execute a performance bond within ten (10) days after Notice of Award. The bid security must be enclosed in the envelope with the bid. Proposals without cashier's check or bid bond will not be considered. A payment and performance bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, will be required of the successful proposer, conditioned on the faithful performance of the contract, payment of all persons supplying labor or furnishing materials, and payment of all liabilities incurred in connection with the work of this contract. Each bond must be supplied in compliance with State law. Each bond should be valid for one year beyond the date of final acceptance of the complete project. Attention of proposer is particularly called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing wage rate (Davis-Bacon Act), as issued by the US Department of Labor and as set forth in the contract documents, must be paid on this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, marital status, handicap, or national origin. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive irregularities, formalities, to require financial statements and references, and to accept the bid considered most advantageous to the District. Proposals may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed ninety (90) calendar days from the date of the opening of proposals, for the purpose of reviewing the proposals and investigating the qualifications of proposers, prior to awarding the contract.
