REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS - ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES The City of Charleston, Department of Housing and Community Development is requesting submittals from qualified architects interested in providing architectural services for a new Affordable Housing, fee simple, town home development located at Heriot Street in the City of Charleston, SC. The project site is one acre in size and is zoned as a Planned Unit Development (PUD). The overall development should meet Fair Housing Accessibility requirements, and one townhouse should be designed to be ADA compliant. Initially, the architectural services will consist of site design and townhouse design options to be approved by the City of Charleston's Department of Housing and Community Development. The architectural contract will include Civil Engineering for the site, and the architect will be responsible for obtaining all City of Charleston Zoning, Design Review Board, and Technical Review Committee Planning Department approvals. The City may reject any/or all bids deemed in the best interest of the City. Interested architectural professionals should submit a letter of interest, examples of relevant project experience, and a comprehensive proposal for architectural services The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
