Addition to an educational facility in Hamlet, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 8,755-square-foot educational facility.
One story pre-engineered metal building gymnasium (7,555 SF), with second floor mechanical/electrical rooms (1,200 SF) for a total of 8,755 SF; Educational Occupancy with Type IIB Construction, non-sprinkled. Metal building to have an expandable end wall with structure to support basketball goals. Site modifications are limited to the areas directly surrounding the building construction including revisions to the existing sidewalk for the rerouting of utilities and the introduction of new sidewalks. Mechanical system includes both grounds mounted and mezzanine mounted units. Electrical system includes new 120/208V/3Ø/4W electrical service and pad mount utility transformer by Duke Energy, new fiber homerun from existing MDF, new stand-alone voice evac fire alarm system, new LED lighting with stand-alone and occupancy/vacancy controls, and rough ins for access controls, security cameras, paging, and data systems. *Addendum 1, 2 and 3 have been released.
