It is the intent of the County of Santa Clara - Facilities and Fleet Department to establish a term contract with a contractor to provide Low/Medium Voltage Electrical Repairs for O'Connor Hospital and O'Connor Medical Office Building on an "as needed" basis. The term contract shall only be used for repair work and replacement of currently existing structures with County approved equivalents. The term contract shall be for a period of one (1) year unless terminated or otherwise amended. The total contract sum shall not exceed two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000). Each bid must be accompanied by cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond in the sum of not less than 10% of the total aggregate of the bid price, including all additive bid items. For the purpose of the security for this bid, the total aggregate amount is equal to the Contract Sum of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000). The check or bond must be made payable to "The County of Santa Clara." For the duration of the County emergency due to COVID-19 and requisite social distancing requirements by order of the Public Health Officer, the opening of bids shall be made available to the public via video teleconference
