The scope of work and specifications are contained in this section below. It is expected that all Offeror's responding to this RFP are prepared (if awarded a contract) to comply with the specifications contained in this section and all other additional requirements contained in this solicitation. JSD is seeking proposals for Classroom replacement Sound Systems with the option to add Camera Systems with additional compatibility functions for Safety/Security, and connections to projectors, monitors and intercom systems. BNA Consulting was hired to make recommendations and provide specifications for the equipment. In addition, performance specifications are noted to ensure teacher ease of use and functionality in the classroom. JSD reserves the right to determine equivalent or compatible offerings, and will hold the final determination on if the offered solution is compatible with our current equipment, or function as needed for teachers and classroom layout scenarios. Install the sound system in a box that mounts to the wall (clean look) 2. Existing speaker wires can be used 3. Replace old speakers with 4 new classroom speakers 4. Provide shielded sound cable from projector to sound system 5. Connect other inputs such as DVD players, Apple TV, etc. 6. Camera needs to be mounted to ceiling or wall and needs shielded sound cable from camera to sound system 7. If camera and intercom are installed, each classroom will need to have 2 data lines, one for the sound system and one for the camera. This will allow the three components to be tied together (camera, sound system and intercom). 8. Provide solution for video storage to allow teachers to record and store lessons for a couple of weeks. 9. Installation needs to be included for all proposed equipment. Please indicate if additional outside services would be required for your installation (running Cat6 cables in the walls, etc.) 10. Please note all connectivity, switches, cabling, servers, etc. that would be required for your proposed solution(s). 11. Please include explanation of the safety capabilities (i.e. ability to contact front office) of your equipment and how they would work for teachers with your proposed solution. Would the teacher use their microphone, or would a button on a wall be used to contact the office, etc. 12. Provide training to school or District staff on the use of the components and how they work together.
