The purpose of this solicitation is to receive competitive proposals in order to acquire supplies, services or equipment which complies with the enclosed description and/or specifications and conditions for Richland School District Two for the following project: Annual Playground & Equipment Inspections & Repairs, RFP 22-014. Purpose: Richland School District Two has nearly one hundred (100) playgrounds. The playgrounds range in age from 2000 to 2021, and contain multiple brands of playground equipment. The goal of this Solicitation is to have a company specializing in playground construction and oversight to assist RSD2 in evaluation/inspection of existing playgrounds, construction of new playgrounds, renovations, repairs, and maintenance of existing playgrounds (to include equipment and surfaces). The services desired include, but are not limited to, playground safety inspections, repairs to playground equipment and surfaces, renovations of playgrounds, and installation of new playground equipment and associated amenities. Question Submission Deadline:December 16, 2021, 4:00pm Richland School District Two will accept proposals to provide a comprehensive visual and physical safety inspection audit of all playground structures at all schools operated by RSD2 in accordance with all applicable standards of The National Program for Playground Safety. The services desired include, but are not limited to, playground safety inspections, repairs to playgrounds/playground equipment, renovations of playgrounds/playground equipment, and installation of new playground equipment/surface and associated amenities. Description: General services to be provided may include, but are not limited to any of the following: 1. Perform playground safety inspections as needed. Prepare inspection reports detailing non-compliant items, priorities, and recommendations for repairs. 2. Perform repairs to playgrounds as needed to bring them into safety compliance, including but not limited to replacing hardware, decks, swings, and individual play events. 3. Replace entire playground structures, including demolition of existing structures, and installation of new playground equipment. 4. Work with playground manufacturers to purchase appropriate hardware and playground elements to assure the playgrounds are in compliance with safety guidelines. 5. Install playground safety surfacing, including engineered wood fiber, poured in place, or other surfacing. 6. Any other work as determined by RSD2
