Renovation of a water / sewer project in Monterey, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The Project consists of installation of a cellular-based SCADA system to automatically control two existing well pump systems (including pressure transducers, flowmeters, SCADA CPUs, and sonic level indicators) within the Town of Montereys water system. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Mattern & Craig, Inc., 701 First Street, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016, Phone: (540) 345-9342. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Upon Issuing Offices receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent via UPS Ground Service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidders date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders must be licensed as a Contractor in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Bids must be accompanied by a bid guarantee as specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The bidders attention is directed to the requirements of Title 54.1, Chapter 11, of the Code of Virginia. Withdrawal of bid due to error shall be in accordance with Title 2.2, Chapter 43 (2.2-4330, Paragraph B.1) of the Code of Virginia. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bidders must comply with the following: the President's Executive Order # 11246 prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin; the President's Executive Orders # 12138 and 11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms; the Presidents Executive Order 13658 regarding minimum wages on federal funded construction contracts, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Davis-Bacon Act, and Section 436 of P. L. 113-76, American Iron and Steel. Bidders must certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The range for this project is $150,000-$250,000
