Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for outdoor lighting for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

Construction of Streetscape Phase 2-A. Phase 2-A will consist of improvements to Mountain Street from the intersection at Battleground Ave. to the intersection of Piedmont. Small segments of Cherokee Street both North and South will also be improved. The proposed work consists of Asphalt Milling/Repaving, Asphalt Paving, Imprinted Asphalt, Parking and Road Striping, Concrete Curb & Gutter, Decorative Stamped Concrete Paving, Broom-finish Concrete Paving, Storm Drainage Inlets and Piping, Installation of Street Light Pole and Bollard Fixtures (Owner Provided), Concrete Bases for Light Poles/Bollards, Installation of Benches and Freestanding Planters (Owner Provided), Landscaping Trees, Shrubs, Groundcovers. Wiring and Conduit installation for Light Poles and Bollards per City Requirements, will be included in the Project Via Addendum during the Bid Period. Addendum #1 is anticipated to be released on or about, December 22, 2021. Bid Bonds are required. Requirements are indicated in the Project Manual. Notice to Proceed is expected to be issued in early March, 2022, following execution of the construction Contract between the selected contractor and the City of Kings Mountain. Project duration shall be 120 calendar days.
