Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Zion, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.

Three existing furnaces located in Illinois Beach State Park (Bath House #5, Nature Center and North Shop) have all failed and are in need of replacement. Due to their age, amount of usage, and difficulty in finding replacement parts, the State of Illinois would be better off replacing these units, in lieu of attempting to repair them. SCOPE OF WORK: Bath House #5 Remove one (1) existing 250,000 BTUH Input (200,000 BTUH output) Reznor (Model EEDU) natural gas fired Indoor Duct Furnace from existing location. Provide and install one (1) new (at minimum) 250,000 BTUH input (200,000 BTUH output) natural gas fired Indoor Duct Furnace in same location. New Single Stage Furnace to have Aluminized Steel Heat Exchanger and Burner. Nature Center Remove one (1) existing Goodman 20 Kw Electric Furnace (Model MBR1200AA-1 with Heater Kit Model HKA-20C) from existing location. Provide and install one (1) new Multi Speed Electric Heater in same location. New Unit blower shall provide (at minimum) 20 Kw, 1200 CFM, 34.3/39.6 Heater Amps, with 45/52 minimum circuit amps, and maximum overcurrent protection of 60 Amps. Minimum circuit Amps for new heater kit shall be 43/50. North Shop Remove one (1) existing 120,000 BTUH input (96,000 BTUH output) Heat Controller, INC (Model HFE120D5) propane gas furnace from existing location. Remove one (1) existing gas regulator mounted on outside of building. Provide and install one (1) new (at minimum) 120,000 BTUH input propane gas furnace in same location. Provide and install one new second stage propane gas pressure regulator (14" w.c.) in same location. Remove all old material and construction debris from site and discharge per applicable EPA regulations. This contract [or agreement] calls for the construction of a "public work," within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the Act"). There is no pre-submission conference for this project. Pursuant to the Public Construction Bond Act (30 ILCS 550/), a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond covering the faithful performance of the contract and the payment of all obligations arising thereunder, shall be required if the project cost exceeds $50,000. Each bond shall be in the full amount of the contract. The bond must be from a surety licensed to do business within the State of Illinois and acceptable to IDNR. Contract award will be made to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder for the total of all line items. The Department of Natural Resources reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to not award all line items. No Small Business Set-Aside All work shall be completed within 90 days of contract execution. IDNR is seeking a vendor to replace 3 furnaces at Illinois Beach State Park.
