The City of Palo Alto is seeking to identify and establish one or more qualified suppliers for the following transformer type: single-phase and three-phase, 60-hertz, liquid-filled, self-cooled, distribution transformers for use on the City's high voltage (12,470 V (12 KV) or 4,160 V (4 KV)), 3-phase, 3-wire Delta systems; low voltages 120/240 V, 240/480 V, 208Y/120 V and 480Y/277 V for the City's fiscal year 2022-2026 transformer requirements. This Formal Request for Qualification (RFQ) is issued to identify and establish one or more qualified suppliers for the following, single-phase and three-phase, 60-hertz, liquid-filled, self-cooled, distribution transformers for use on the City's high voltage (12,470 V (12 KV) or 4,160 V (4 KV)), 3- phase, 3-wire Delta systems; low voltages 120/240 V, 240/480 V, 208Y/120 V and 480Y/277 V for the City's fiscal year 2022-2026 transformer requirements. Once the City has identified manufacturers through the Formal Request for Qualification, the City, on an as-needed basis, may issue subsequent Requests for Proposal to obtain pricing from the pre-qualified manufactures for the types of transformers sought. Purchase Orders may be awarded to qualified bidders who offer the lowest responsive price quotation and demonstrate the ability to meet the City's stated specifications, including other factors identified by the City below in the Section titled "Contract Award". Bid Valid - 120 days Liquidated Damages - 250.00 for each calender day Start/Delivery Date - Upon Council award Project Duration - 5 years Pre-Bid Meeting - No The City reserves the right to reject any or all qualification statements submitted, to waive any informalities contained therein, and to qualify contractors on an item-by-item basis. No Formal Request for Qualification may be withdrawn for a period of one hundred twenty days (120) days following the date of the Formal Request for Qualification opening. The terms and conditions (the provisions) that shall govern any resulting agreement between City and the qualified manufactures are contained in this Formal Request for Qualification. No charges of any kind will be allowed unless specifically made part of this Formal Request for Qualification and are specified in your response.
