The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida (City) is seeking bids from qualified bidders, hereinafter referred to as the Contractor, to provide rehabilitation services for the City's Public Works Department, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation To Bid (ITB). This project is located at SW 11th Avenue Swing Bridge, across the New River North Fork, in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to, removal of corrosion from the mechanical gears that enable the bridge to rotate, open and allow watercrafts to navigate the river, application of corrosion inhibitors to protect the mechanical gears, relocate the electrical box one and a half feet above its current location Bid Security: A certified check, cashier's check, bank officer's check or bid bond for FIVE percent (5%) of the bid amount, made payable to the City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, shall accompany each offer. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT : 100% BOND Licensing Requirements : Possession of a State of Florida Certified General Contractor's License and is proficient in Mechanical & Electrical Works.
