The Town of Sharpsville Tipton County Indiana invites consultant's qualifications to provide Architectural, Engineering, and Construction Management services needed for the demolition of the former Cheese Factory in the Town of Sharpsville, IN. Sharpsville is in North Central Indiana approximately 50 miles north of Indianapolis. The former Cheese Factory, is a 0. 941-acre property was developed in l 920 and utilized to produce cheese. After the cheese factory closed the property was used by a welding company and in the manufacture of horse trailers until the 1980s. The property and the 14,988 square foot building have been vacant since that time. Scope of Work: Demolition of structure; haul off all debris; crush concrete and brick on site; level and grade surface; and plant grass seed. Abatement of asbestos and lead base paint. SCOPE OF SERVICES: The successful consultant/firm would be required to perform the following general services outlined below. Develop drawings, specifications, and other necessary items for inclusion in a bid package for advertising for the physical demolition of the building Upon receipt of bids, perform an evaluation of the bids and recommend a contractor for award. Assist in the preparation of contracts between the selected demolition contractor and the Town to include an agreed upon timeline for the project. During the physical demolition of the building, perform construction management services as the Owner's representative to ensure demolition is consist with the specifications outlined in the bid documents and contracts. This would include the processing of any Change Orders if needed. Assist in the process of reviewing and approving pay requests from the demolition contractor Provide written periodic updates on the demolition progress. Consultants should feel free to add in their proposals, based on their experience and best practices, additional measures that should be incorporated into the final Scope of Work to improve the overall process and result. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS: The Town of Sharpsville requires consultant's proposal to include as a minimum. A Statement of Qualifications specific to the objectives of this demolition contract A proposed plan of work describing how the consultant would suggest completing the requested services A proposed work schedule including timetables for completion of the minimum tasks.
