Demolition, site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work includes Installation of temporary electric power and temporary discharge piping to maintain existing stormwater pump station in service until new stormwater pump station constructed under this Contract is in service and fully operational. Construction of new stormwater pump station structure and installation of new pumps and piping and associated electrical, mechanical, controls, and communication equipment. Start-up and testing of new stormwater pump station Demolition of existing stormwater pump station and equipment including but not limited to the following: Interior, buried, and temporary piping and fittings. Electrical conductors, conduit, and equipment. Existing levee penetration structure. Temporary levee protection. Salvage and delivery of existing submersible pumps and motors to Owner. Backfill, finish grading, seeding, and miscellaneous site work and clean-up Until further notice, the board reserves to right to conduct the bid opening by electronic meeting and to limit public access to the bid opening to attendance by electronic means. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid. The Board also reserves the right to accept the bid that it determines to be in the best interest of the Board in accordance with Chapter 26 and Subchapters II and III of Chapter 73A, Code of Iowa. The amount of the bid security shall be ten percent (10%) of the bid submitted by the bidder. The bid security shall be made payable to the Board. The Contractor's Bond shall be in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, be issued by a responsible surety approved by the Board, guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained, protect and save harmless the Board from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operation of the Contractor, guarantee materials and workmanship to be free of defects for a period of two (2) years from and after completion and acceptance by the Board, guarantee surface restoration work in public right-of-way to be free of defects for a period of four (4) years from and after completion and acceptance by the Board, and shall otherwise in all respects comply with the Code of Iowa The Board reserves the right to defer acceptance of any Proposal for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of receipt of bids. The improvements shall be completed within two hundred seventy (270) consecutive calendar days from the date set forth in the Notice to Proceed.
