The University is seeking to hire a Contractor for renovation work that will be delivered by Job Order Contracting (JOC). As described in more detail in the bidding documents, work under the JOC will be limited to UC San Francisco Medical Center campus at Parnassus Heights (Moffitt/Long Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center), at Mount Zion (Mt. Zion), and at various leased sites. Projects conducted under the JOC may include the following; Relocation required Tenant Improvements within owned or leasehold buildings managed by Design & Construction between $50,000 and $1,000,000 which may include HVAC, electrical, data, partitions, and cosmetic upgrades 21-260 M/L M357 ERCP Renovation PRO - 000009 ML OR Surgical Light Replacement Project PRO - 000018 ML 1st Fl ED CT Scan Replacement PRO - 000020 ACC C Level UCIC 3T MRI Upgrade Clinic Renovation PRO-000022 Mount Zion Cancer Center Plastics Clinic Renovation PRO - 000024 Mount Zion J Building Women's Health Upgrade PRO - 000045 ACC 8 Urology Exam Room Conversion Infrastructure projects with a construction value between $50,000 and $1,000,000 at Parnassus Heights (Moffitt Long Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center), and at Mount Zion (1600 Divisadero, 1545 divisadero, 1701 Divisadero, 2255 Post, 2330 Post, 1675 Scott, 2356 Sutter), and at various leased spaces (2001 The Embarcadero, 1635 Divisadero, 2233 Post, 2320 Sutter, 2380 Sutter, 2655 Bush, 515 Spruce, 3575 Geary, 3360 Geary).. Capital Projects approved for FY 22, 23 and 24 with a construction value between $50,000 and $1,000,000 at Parnassus Heights (Moffitt Long Hospital, Ambulatory Care Center), at Mount Zion (1600 Divisadero, 1545 Divisadero, 1701 Divisadero, 2255 Post, 2330 Post, 1675 Scott, 2356 Sutter), and at various leased spaces (2001 The Embarcadero, 1635 Divisadero, 2233 Post, 2320 Sutter, 2380 Sutter, 2655 Bush, 515 Spruce, 3575 Geary, 3360 Geary). Bid Security in the amount of $25,000 shall accompany each Bid. The surety issuing the Bid Bond shall be, on the Bid Deadline, an admitted surety insurer (as defined in California Code of Civil Procedure Section 995.120). The University selected The Gordian Group's (Gordian) Job Order Contracting System for this project. The Gordian JOC Solution(R) includes Gordian's proprietary JOC software applications (JOC Applications) and construction cost data (Construction Task Catalog(R)), which shall be used by the Contractor solely for the purpose of fulfilling its obligations under this Contract, including preparation and submission of Job Order Schedule of Values, subcontractor ists, and other requirements specified by the University. The Contractor shall be required to execute Gordian's JOC System License. Every effort will be made to ensure that all persons have equal access to contracts and other business opportunities with the University within the limits imposed by law or University policy. Each Bidder may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful Bidder and its subcontractors will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wage at the location of the work. The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code. No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1. This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. The successful Bidder shall pay all persons providing construction services and/or any labor on site, including any University location, no less than the UC Fair Wage (defined as $15) and shall comply with all applicable federal, state and local working condition requirements.
