The project scope of work includes eight (8) school sites under one contract. The work is funded by ESSER (Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief) Federal Funding. The work will include replacing and upgrading HVAC, replacing and upgrading electrical wiring as necessary, providing new unit pads, removing existing unit pads where necessary as indicated in the construction documents Project no. 110-081, 21229 Project Locations : a. Site E: Pearman Elementary School 1) 306 Merritt Drive, Cleveland, MS 38732 f. Site F: Hayes Cooper Center 1) 500 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Cleveland, MS 38759 g. Site G: Cleveland Career Development & Technology Center 1) 601 Third Street, Cleveland, MS 38732 h. Site H: Walter C. Robinson Achievement Center 1) 607 Third Street, Cleveland, MS 38732. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post-Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used, shall be payable to the Owner. D. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. B. The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety (90) days. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. Addendum 2 to be issued on or before 01.18.22.
