The Project will consist of the installation of 1889 feet of 15" diameter sanitary sewer main to serve Tamarack Business Park, including two roadway jack and bores 264 feet (Across U.S. Hwy 151) and 203 feet (within (IDOT R.O.W.), replacing one sanitary sewer manhole, installing 9 new sanitary sewer manholes, a stream crossing and main encasement, and crossing a 16" high pressure gas line. Base Bid Estimated Total Cost = $776,500.00 Each Bidder must accompany its Bid with a Bid security as security that the successful Bidder will enter into a contract for the work Bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety Bond, acceptable to the governmental entity, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The Bid security must be in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the contract and must be in the form of a cashier's check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a statechartered or federally chartered credit union, or the Bidder may provide a Bid Bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the governmental entity. The Bid Bond must contain no conditions except as provided in this section. *The previous solicitation is listed below for reference The City of Dubuque submitted a facility plan to Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR), in September of this year (2021), which identified three projects related to the Granger Creek Interceptor Sewer (GCIS) System. One of the three projects is to extend sanitary sewer to the Twin Ridge Subdivision and abandon the lagoon system. The facility plan is based on the results of an intensive evaluation of the existing interceptor collection and pumping systems that transport sewage to the Water Resource Recovery Center (WRRC). The City of Dubuque, Iowa is seeking responses from industry leading, highly qualified professional consulting firms to work alongside the City to design and construct the project. The City also prefers that the Consultant be responsible for supervising any work that may be sub-contracted, including third party inspection firms. Based on written recommendation and agreement between the Consultant and City, the City shall enter into sub-consultant contracts independent of this contract if required. After a professional services agreement is negotiated, the City anticipates the Consultant will immediately begin the design work and assist city staff preparation of bidding documents; assist the City through award phases, and, perform supervision of the work, as requested. The City anticipates bidding this project in July 2022 with a final project completion date of May 2023. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
