Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
SCOPE OF SERVICES: Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, sub trade costs, tools, barriers, equipment, clean up, rentals, transportation and any other items that may be required to perform the work as outlined below. This shall also include all material costs, sales tax, applicable federal, state or city taxes and/or fees. All work shall be performed in a professional, timely manner. Sealed proposals for Full Depth Asphalt Replacement services may be submitted as outlined below. The successful bidder shall provide Full Depth Asphalt Replacement services for the City of below. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, supervision, sub trade costs, tools, barriers, equipment, clean up, rentals, transportation and any other items that may be required to perform the work as outlined below. Base Bid (East 20 th St. to Mehaffey Ave on East 23 rd St.) (See Exhibit B Map) 1- Remove existing, haul off, and install (4300SY) square yards of asphalt. New installation shall consist of (6") six-inch-thick CABC, (2") two-inch Min. Binder, (2") two-inch Min. Surface (S9.5B). 2- Install Geo-Textile stabilization fabric. (4300 SY) 3- Remove existing, haul off, and install (100') linear feet of (2') two feet (6") six-inch-wide Curb & Gutter with. New installation shall be (4000) psi concrete. Subgrade shall be (6") six inches of CABC. 4- Remove, and haul off (1) one tree and (2) two stumps. Stumps shall be removed by excavation. (No stump grinding allowed). 1. Select Backfill: Select backfill material shall contain no man-made or organic material or clay pockets and shall be free of rocks, clods, or other materials larger than 2 inches in nominal diameter. Materials from on-site excavations may be used for select backfill provided they meet the specified requirements and contain optimum moisture content for proper compaction. Water saturated material shall not be used as select material. If sufficient on-site select backfill material is not available, acceptable material from an off-site borrow area shall be secured. 2. Final Grading and Landscaping: Fertilizing, seeding, and mulching of any and all areas disturbed during construction will follow within ten (10) working days of the tree and stumps removal. 5- Adjusting to grade all manhole ring and covers, and valve boxes. (If needed, City will provide material only. IE: manhole ring/cover and valve boxes.) 6- Contractor shall ensure each residential driveway is open before close of day. 7- Contractor Shall be responsible for maintaining Traffic Control throughout the entire duration of the project. 8- Restore project site to original condition or better. 9- Disposal of all material shall comply with all applicable City, County, State and Federal
