The Town of Brewster is seeking quotes 1 -to remove the existing Intake and exhaust system for Garage Unit Heater #2,3 and 4 (3 units), Furnish and install correct double wall insulated DURAVENT "B" vent (or equivalent) located at 165 Commerce Park Road and 2- to install one outdoor and two indoor Mitsubishi Ductless Heat Pumps (or equivalent) for the office at 699 Run hill Road. The equipment selected must maintain 70 degrees in the space in both summer and winter months. Work to be performed between January 2022 and March 2022, weather permitting and to be completed no later than March 15, 2022. Prevailing Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27G, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the bidder, before bid opening, to request any additional information on Prevailing Wage Rates for those tradespeople who may be employed for the proposed work under this contract. The successful General Bidder must furnish a 50 percent (50%) Payment Bond if the value of the work is over $25,000. Contractors are expected to have familiarized themselves with the site and conditions, prior to submitting a quote. Selection of the contractor will be based upon qualifications, including evidence of past performance in similar projects, and price. The contract will be awarded to the bidder deemed by the awarding authority to be the lowest responsible and eligible bidder The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all quotes, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.
