It is the intent of the Owner to enter into separate contracts as follows: Contract No. 1 Masonry Construction Contract No. 2 Roofing Construction All Bids shall include a Bid Security Bond or Certified Check, payable to The School District of the City of Erie, in an amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders, as included in the Contract Documents. All Bidders shall comply with the Responsible Contracting with the District Policy, as included in the Contract Documents. Sealed bids shall be marked with the name of the Project as listed above, with Contract Name/No. clearly noted. Bids shall be delivered in either person, via USPS, a contract carrier such as UPS, FedEx, etc., or via electronic submission to bids@eriesd.org. The subject line on electronic submissions shall be marked as indicated herein. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened, either in person or virtually, on the date and at the time indicated above. It is the intent of the School District to hold the bid opening in person at the Administration Building, 148 West 21st Street, Erie, PA 16502 on the date and at the time indicated above. However, if the transmission of COVID-19 becomes a greater threat, the School District reserves the right to hold the bid opening virtually. The School District will notify bidders via an addendum should there be a need to have a virtual bid opening, prior to the bid opening.
