GDOE Facility Code No.: 636-0397 Columbia County School District requests sealed bids from General Site Contractors for construction of:Site Improvements for Euchee Creek Elementary School Classroom Addition. Location- 795 Louisville Rd Grovetown, GA 30813 The work consists of erosion & sediment control best management practices, site demolition, clearing & grading, relocating and installing new chain-link fencing, rerouting gravity sanitary sewer lines & appurtenances, extending fire water line and storm drainage systems, and relocating playground equipment as described in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond made payable to the Columbia County School District T in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work; such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded the contract, will promptly enter into a contract agreement and furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, as provided by law and approved by the Attorney for the Columbia County School District. Each bond shall be equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount The Owner reserves the right to award the project on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner and to accept or to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and informalities. Any objections to the Bid Documents/Specifications as presented should be filed in writing prior to bid opening date. BIDDER agrees that the Work for Phase I of the Site Improvements will be substantially complete on or before 120 days after notice to proceed, or May 15, 2022 (approximate date). All Work (Phase 1 & Phase 2) will be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph l4.07.B of the General Conditions on or before July 1, 2022. EUCHEE CREEK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM ADDITION building pads and access to building pad area approximately 90 days after notice to proceed, or April 15, 2022 (approximate date). Phase 1: Work for this Phase includes the site clearing, grubbing and grading within the clearing & grading limits as shown on the plans. The General Site Contractor will implement all those Best Management Practices as required on the Erosion, Sedimentation and Pollution Control Plan. Additional Best Management Practices (BMPs), in accordance with GAR100001, will also be implemented in the construction sequence as specified on the drawings. Initial perimeter BMPs will be installed by the General Site Contractor prior to overall site clearing. Clear only those areas necessary to install the initial BMPs within the Clearing Limits. Notify the Engineer immediately after the initial BMPs have been installed for the 7-day NPDES site inspection. Phase 2: Work in this Phase will include the final grading and permanent grassing as shown on the construction drawings. The General Site Contractor is responsible for placement of topsoil, final grading and permanent grassing of all disturbed areas immediately around the new classroom addition and other disturbed areas as a result of construction activities.
