Demolition, site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Dorchester, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the demolition of a water / sewer project; for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Village of Dorchester Dorchester, Wisconsin Main Street Lift Station. The Project consists of replacing the existing dry pit/wet well lift station with a new submersible pump lift station. The existing lift station will remain in service during the project and will be abandoned at the project conclusion. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The date that the bidding documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidders date of receipt of the bidding documents. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of bidding documents, including addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. In case the bidder fails to file such contract and required bonds, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Village of Dorchester as liquidated damages. Letting of contracts will be subject to Section 66.0901 and 66.0903 Wisconsin Statutes, Public Works, Contracts, and Bids. The contract shall be subject to the Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates. The American Iron and Steel requirement shall apply. The requirements as to the conditions of employment be observed at minimum wage rates paid under contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), including Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) and Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), are encourages to submit bids. The project may be funded in part the WDNR EIF Program and Community Development Block Grant programs. The Village of Dorchester reserves the right to waive any formalities in the preparation of a bid and to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the scheduled time of bid opening. A pre-Bid conference will not be held for this project.
