Remove & Replace Damaged Platform This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of Other than Small Businesses and/or Small Businesses, including VIP-Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) or Service-Disabled VeteranOwned Small Business (SDVOSB) prospective contractors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220 .This sources sought notice is to determine interest and capability of vendors able to fulfill the following requirements please see the following: SERVICE STATEMENT OF WORK Place of Performance: Jesse Brown VA Medical Center 820 S. Damen Ave Chicago IL 60612 Part 1: Project Scope of Work Overview: Contractor shall provide all tools, materials, components, labor, supervision to remove and replace the damaged platform to Generator Bldg. 1C and the railing system leading into the Temporary Building. Part 2: Period of Performance (POP) and Project Construction Cost Magnitude: Complete all work including submittals, reviews and quality control within 45 calendar days from Award Date. Part 3: Detailed Project Scope of Work: Task 1; Switchgear Bldg. 1C, the contractor shall remove and dispose of several corroded stairs and platform. Replacing with a new grating type platform and tread system. Platform shall be 9 x 5 and include four treads 57 x 10 1/2 x 3/16 with railings typical to the existing tube rails and vertical pickets. All materials used shall be primed and painted with black enamel paint. Task 2; Temp Bldg. Exterior Stairs, the contractor shall remove and dispose of the existing hand railings that are corroded through. Replacing with new to match the existing set up. All material shall be primed and painted with gray enamel. This is not a Request for Proposal/Quote or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for set-aside consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 236220.
