This document constitutes a request for competitive Bids for competitive, sealed bids from qualified contractors to construct a tower foundation and erect a 300' self-supporting tower, and then remove the existing 300' guy anchor tower after the self-supporting tower is erected on County land at El 3487 Tower road Construction of tower foundation per engineering documents (Attachment A), including site preparation, excavating, backfilling, and compacting (Attachment B Geotechnical Report)). Bids must provide anticipated start date Erection of tower structure. Erection documents from Sabre Communications, tower supplier, will be sent to Sauk County two weeks prior to date of tower delivery. Contractor awarded the project will work with Sauk County and Sabre Communications to coordinate delivery date. Installation of antennas and lines in accordance with enclosed drawings (Attachment C). All Sauk County antennas, sidearms, feedlines, feed line connectors, and grounding kits will be supplied by Sauk County and will be available at tower site on date requested by the Contractor who is awarded the project. Existing Lessee's will be responsible to contract for the installation of their antennas, sidearms, feedlines, feed line connectors, and grounding kits. Excavate, pour a slab, backfill and coordinate the setting of a 12 foot by 20 foot communications equipment shelter that will be supplied by Sauk County (Attachment D). Installation of Ice bridge between the tower and equipment shelter that will be supplied by Sauk County. Contractor will need to place a second generator pad, set a generator supplied by Sauk County, and the electrical connections to the new equipment shelter Contractor will need to work with County hired consultant who will inspect the project in the different stages of completion. Contractor awarded the project will coordinate the taking down and removal of the existing 300' guy anchor tower after new tower is completed. The existing compound of approximately 6O'X6O' will be enlarged to approximately 60'X 120' (Attachment E), Fencing of the site will be coordinated by the Contractor who is awarded the project The 120 foot by 60 foot compound will be properly graded so to allow good water flowage from the compound area.
