The scope of work includes all labor and equipment required to demolish the Old Highland Middle School; 1001 Highland Avenue, Albany Ga. Contractor shall completely demolish and remove from site all building/s and all components of the buildings above and below grade. Location-1001 Highland Ave Albany, GA 31701 A. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to solicit competitive sealed proposals from qualified and experienced individuals or firms to provide demolition services for the Dougherty County School System at the "Old" Highland Middle School; 1001 Highland Avenue, Albany Ga. B. Contractor shall completely demolish and remove from site all building/s and all components of the buildings above and below grade. Completely demolish and remove from site the following; 1. The total square footage of the buildings including portables is 37,200. 2. The building structure including all components above grade as well as below. 3. Concrete, asphalt, and gravel parking/paving and base associated with paving including curbing and gutters. 4. Concrete sidewalks, ramps, handrails, brick retaining walls, and planters. 5. Canopies and posts. 6. Exterior railing and bollards. 7. Two doublewide and one singlewide portable classroom trailers and two storage buildings. 8. Fencing, signage, power/light poles. 9. Cooler and freezer including concrete pad. 10. Cooling tower including concrete pad. 11. Completely demolish and remove from site all underground plumbing, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and electrical utilities to a location off site. Contractor shall coordinate with Owner and local utility authorities having jurisdictions for utility termination. 12. All landscape plant material adjacent to the building/s shall be removed (flowers, bushes, shrubbery, etc.), only trees shall remain. 13. Contractor shall not demolish the curb cuts, aprons, and sidewalks at the right-ofway entrances.
