The Longview Public Library is currently receiving Internet access services through a contract procured by the City of Longview. Infrastructure was installed in 2019 for robust Internet services at the Longview Public Library. This infrastructure investment would be required to be rebuilt if the City changed dedicated internet service providers. E-rate will pay for Special Construction charges related to new fiber optic build out and all bidders must clearly include special construction charges in their bid responses. The current contract for Internet services expires August 21, 2022. Service providers are requested to submit sealed proposals for fully Managed Leased lit fiber with Internet Access for the following bandwidth tiers: 1 Gbps, 3 Gbps, 5 Gbps, 7 Gbps, and 10 Gbps. Proposals for contracted service are requested to provide 60-month pricing. Contracts may include an option for annual voluntary renewals when agreed to in writing by both parties. All bids must include all costs associated with delivering the service to the library, including but not limited to installation charges, special construction costs, leased managed router (if available), plus any other related charges. Information in response to any inquiry may be published as an addendum. The City of Longview reserves the right to negotiate up to a 5 year contract. Please be aware that the City of Longview reserves the right to cancel the contract that results from this RFP without penalty at any time in the event that the Longview City Council does not appropriate sufficient funds to continue the contract. In order to achieve any dates of service or other deadlines set forth in this RFP without a lapse in service, the contract and services that result from this RFP may overlap with the contract and services of the City of Longview's current Internet provider. e City of Longview, Texas (City) reserves the right to accept or reject, in part or in whole, any or all proposals for any or all products and/or services covered in this request and to waive informalities or defects in any proposals and to accept such proposals as it deems in the best interests of the City of Longview.
