The City of Raleigh (COR) is seeking one or more qualified firm(s) with which to contract for the following services: The City of Raleigh requests qualifications for professional consultant engineering services for design and permitting of the Lake Wheeler Dam and Lake Benson Dam improvements. The project will include improvements to the Lake Wheeler Dam embankment and spillway to provide necessary overtopping protection of the south embankment as well as any areas north of the existing spillway. Additionally, at Lake Benson Dam, improvements to the ogee spillway are needed to meet NC Dam Safety stability requirements. In addition to the above, the project includes the investigation and design for the installation of a gate system that would raise the normal pool at each lake and provide additional water supply volume to the Dempsey E. Benton Water Treatment Plant.
