Provide all Plant, Labor, Materials, Licenses, Permits, Equipment, Supervision and Management to complete the design and construction services associated with the Building 221 (Teen CDC) sprinkler upgrade. Design services shall include site evaluations, design concept meetings and concept drawing reviews, preparation of construction specifications, construction drawings, and requests for information and construction cost estimates. The sprinkler system will be designed in conformance with the latest edition of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) 3-600-01, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 13 and American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) 1015. All installed equipment shall be labeled by Underwriters Laboratories (UL) or another U.S. recognized testing agency. The equipment will be acceptance tested per UFC. The fire suppression system shall be Water-Based Dry-Piped throughout the entire structure. The building consists of a basement, living quarters, and attic (three (3) floors). A full analysis shall be conducted to determine the sprinkler main is adequately sized to allow the sprinkler system to provide full guaranteed coverage throughout the building. Mechanical rooms, electrical rooms and fire sprinkler riser rooms shall be classified as "HC-2". A hydrant flow test will be required. UFC requires schedule 40 steel pipe, 12 pounds per square inch (psi) loss through the back flow and 500 Gallons per minute (GPM) hose stream, which all increase the overall system hydraulic demand. $100,000-250,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
