The district is seeking to upgrade existing cabling at three locations with CAT6 or CAT6A cabling and accessories and to install new cabling and related components at a new school opening in May, 2023. The scope of the project will include materials, removal of existing cabling and installation of new cables and related components. Bid respondents must be e-rate participants. Contract Start Date April 1, 2022 Estimated Project Start Date May 25, 2022 Contract End Date September 30, 2023 The district is seeking to upgrade existing cabling at three locations with CAT6 or CAT6A cabling and accessories and to install new cabling and related components at a new school opening in May, 2023. The scope of the project will include materials, removal of existing cabling and installation of new cables and related components. The district prefers a single bidder for materials and installation. The district is seeking bids for the following: o Yargo Elementary School and Bramlett Elementary School - Remove existing drops and install new CAT6 and CAT6A drops and related components in one wing of each school. o Kennedy Elementary School - Remove existing drops and install new CAT6 and CAT6A drops and related components in one wing of the school. Supplement existing CAT6 and CAT6A drops in other parts of the school. o Barrow Innovation Campus Elementary School (New School) - Install new fiber optic cabling between the MDF and IDFs. Install CAT6 and CAT6A drops and related components. A star or distributed star topology is used in the distribution system. MDFs and IDFs house all electronics, cabinets, and racks. Appendix H lists the district's standard preferred materials and equipment list. Comparable manufacturer substitutions are allowed following guidelines listed in this document.
