The scope of work for the project includes approximately 1,460 LF of new wastewater along the TxDOT Right of Way (ROW), 640 LF of new wastewater line crossings, 5,340 LF of new water mains along the TxDOT ROW, and 745 LF of new water line, and related appurtenances as described within this agreement. The purpose of this project is to relocate existing water and wastewater main lines to along the proposed TxDOT ROW lines along the IH-35E corridor through the City limits from approximately Fox Avenue to the south to approximately W. College Street to the north In addition to the above, there will be other miscellaneous items of construction as defined in the plans and specifications. The City is currently in the process of obtaining the necessary permits from TxDOT, which the City will have acquired from TxDOT by the time of construction. The Contractor is required to abide by the Buy America Compliance Requirements and must supply the required documentation to the City indicating compliance with this provision. A bid bond equal to 5% of the project amount is to be included with the sealed bid; a payment bond and performance bond at the project amount and a maintenance bond for two years from the date of the final acceptance. Each bidder is expected to inspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions. Ignorance of existing conditions of the site will not be a basis for any changes after the award of the bid The City of Lewisville reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part; to waive any informality in any bid.
