The State is issuing this Request for Proposal ("RFP") for inspection services of elevators, escalators, and lifting devices, not to include ski-lifts (collectively, the "Devices") located in commercial and residential buildings, not to include single-family homes, to reduce the increased backlog of inspections that developed during the COVID-19 pandemic when inspectors did not have internal access to the required buildings. These services will augment and provide support to the Client Agency's staff to address this time sensitive public safety matter for the State for a two (2) year Contract Term. Services include routine inspections and follow-up inspections of the Devices that make up the backlog.
