The New York Power Authority (hereinafter, the "Authority" or "NYPA") invites you to submit a proposal to furnish all supervision, labor, materials and equipment (except for services, materials and/or equipment to be furnished by others as specifically referred to in the Contract Documents) and perform all operations required for the construction of three new substations, and modifications to seven existing substation. This contract may be fulfilled by a Sub Contract, Joint Venture or Co-Production arrangement. Incomplete bid responses may be rejected by the Authority. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 5% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 3% Contract term: up to 4 years The Work covered under this Project consists of furnishing all supervision, labor, materials and equipment (except for services, materials, and/or equipment to be furnished by others), and performing all operations required for the construction of three new substations, and modifications to seven existing substations. The Work shall be performed in accordance with the NYS Public Service Commission Approved Environmental Management and Construction Plan (EM&CP) and Approving Order. For Adirondack Substation, the Work includes, but is not limited to (1) Disconnection and removal of all existing substation equipment, including but not limited to transformer, circuit breakers, switches, structure steel, bus, instrument transformers, etc.; (2) Demolition of equipment foundations to 6" below grade with re-setting of stone; (3) Maintaining of the control enclosure and utility provided station service and emergency generator connections. The Work at each substation location as defined herein, and accompanying specifications will be performed in five Work Packages (Site Works, Below Grade Works, Foundation Works, Above Grade Works, and Testing & Commissioning). Each Work Package will be performed as part of an integrated effort, with the selected Contractor coordinating the efforts of Subcontractors in the completion of the Work and Work Packages.
