Projects will be awarded by the Authority with inspections to occur at the Dreck Creek Dam F and Dreck Creek Dam G Dams located in Hazle Township. Proposal shall identify costs for each dam individually. Email subject line for the submittal should be HCA Dam Outlet Works Structures and Components Inspection Proposal along with your company name There will be an email sent confirming receipt of the proposal. In general, the work to be performed shall consist Inspections of the HCA dams shall include all intake boxes, headwalls and towers, all valves and pipe entry points, pipe, and pipe joints. Internal inspections of all pipes through the dam are expected and may require bulkheading of pipes within the reservoir to allow for dry inspection Except as otherwise provided by law, all bids are irrevocable, and no Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) consecutive calendar days after the actual date of the bid opening. The Hazleton City Authority Water Department is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Bidders on all work will be required to comply with all requirements of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act No. 222 and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. All bidders are hereby notified that in regard to any contract pursuant to this advertisement, businesses will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and will not be subjected to discrimination on the basis of gender, race, color, creed, sex, age, physical disability or national origin in consideration for an award. Similarly, the successful bidder shall in no manner discriminate against or intimidate any employee involved in the manufacture of supplies, the performance of work, or any other activity required under the contract on account of gender, race, creed or color. Prior to the award of the Contract, the successful bidder shall furnish to the Owner Certificates of Insurance, Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, Maintenance Bond, and any other items as required by the Contract Documents. All bonds must be executed by a satisfactory surety. Bidders must comply with all State antibid-rigging regulations pertaining to work associated with this project and will be required to submit an executed non-collusion affidavit with the bid. The Hazleton City Authority - Water Department hereby reserves the right in its discretion, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all proposals submitted, and also reserves the right to waive any irregularities, omissions, mistakes, or informality in the Proposal Process deemed to be in the best interest of the Authority. The Proposal, if awarded, will be awarded at the sole discretion of the Authority for the lowest total cost to a responsive and responsible Bidder based on a final review of line items as selected by the Owner.
