Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in New Kent, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to solicit proposals for the design and construction of a new elevated boardwalk and Canoe/Kayak Launch at Cumberland Marsh Natural Area Preserve, in New Kent County, Virginia. The Board of Supervisors has adopted Design-Build Procedures, which are attached hereto as Attachment A. These provide for a two-step process for selecting a design-build team. In accordance with those Procedures, this RFP is solely to request qualifications of Design-Build teams. As is stated in the RFP, after the proposals are received, the County will select at least two teams and ask them to submit a Technical (Conceptual) Proposal and a Price Proposal. The County will then continue discussions with those teams, and will choose the team that the County determines is best qualified. The purpose of this RFP is to solicit proposals for the design and construction of a new elevated boardwalk and Canoe/Kayak Launch at Cumberland Marsh Natural Area Preserve.
