C. Northwest Parking Lot: 1. Install erosion control devices prior to the start of excavation. 2. Remove and dispose of existing concrete filled steel bollards and parking signs as shown on the Drawings. 3. Repair two catch basins and install finger drains in locations shown. 4. Reconstruct a portion of the concrete island and adjacent concrete curbing located along the west edge of the northwest parking lot. 5. Sawcut and remove existing bituminous pavement and concrete islands as shown on the Drawings. Concrete islands at the north edge of the northwest parking lot shall be reconstructed with new aggregate base and bituminous pavement. 6. Grade and compact existing aggregate base material as required to maintain positive surface drainage, maximize reuse of existing aggregate base, and accommodate new bituminous pavement section. 7. Schedule and perform proof-roll of prepared base in the presence of the Engineer. Pavement Resurface and Rehabilitation. Where required by the Engineer, perform subgrade corrections by excavating and disposing of existing soils off-site and replacing with new imported aggregate base. 8. Place new bituminous pavement over prepared base, in two lifts. 9. Install new concrete filled steel bollards and parking signs. 10. Stripe parking lot and remove erosion control devices following final site stabilization.
