Renovation of an educational facility in Columbus, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
As of January 27, 2022, the project has been awarded to the following: Franklin Heights High School - $1,347,000.00 Grove City High School and Westland High School - $2,545,000.00. The Project will be eligible for and subject to the federal American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief ("ARP ESSER") Fund authorized under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Bidders may submit requests for consideration of a proposed Substitution for a specified product, equipment, or service to the Architect/Engineer ("A/E") no later than 10 days prior to the bid opening. Additional products, equipment, and services may be accepted as approved Substitutions only by written Addendum. Federal Davis-Bacon Act Prevailing Wage rates and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements are applicable to this Project. Domestic Steel Use Requirements as specified in Ohio Revised Code Section 153.011 apply to this Project. The Bidder must indicate on the Bid Form, the locations where its services will be performed in the spaces provided on the Bid Form or by attachment in accordance with the requirements of Executive Order 2011-12K related to providing services only within the United States. Failure to do so may cause the Bid to be rejected as non-responsive. Bidders are encouraged to be enrolled in and to be in good standing in a Drug-Free Safety Program ("DFSP") approved by the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation ("OBWC") prior to submitting a Bid and provide, on the Bid Form with its Bid, certain information relative to their enrollment in such a program; and, if awarded a Contract, shall comply with other DFSP criteria described in the General Conditions. Trade Estimate General Contract $5,700,000.00 There will be a tour of each school following this meeting. The Contractor is responsible for scheduling the Project, coordinating the Subcontractors, and providing other services identified in the Contract Documents. If at any time the Contractor's working force and equipment, in the opinion of the Owner shall be inadequate for securing the necessary progress or required quality of work as herein stipulated, the Contractor shall, if so directed, at his own expense, increase or supplement the working force and equipment and/or perform the work on an overtime or multiple shift basis to such an extent as to give reasonable assurance of compliance with the schedule of completion and the required quality of the work. When so directed, the Contractor shall submit for approval such supplementary construction schedules as may be necessary to demonstrate the manner in which such compliance will be established. Failure to make such demands shall not relieve the Contractor of his obligation to secure the quality and the rate of progress required by the Contract; and the Contractor alone shall be and remain liable and responsible for the efficiency and adequacy of his methods, materials, working force, and equipment, irrespective of whether or not he makes any change as a result of any order or orders received.
