A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Village of Ridgewood seeks experienced Historic Restoration General Contractors who specialize in or have subcontractors who specialize in finish and rough carpentry repairs; plaster restoration, the sensitive installation of new systems within a historic building including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, and surface preparation and painting of historic finishes to submit prequalification statements for the Interior Restoration and Rehabilitation of the Zabriskie-Schedler House 460 W. Saddle River Road Ridgewood, Bergen County, New Jersey The project generally consists of the following 1. Rough carpentry repair; 2. Plaster restoration; 3. Finish carpentry including flooring, trim, windows and doors at the interior; 4. Mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades; 5. New accessible restrooms; 6. New catering kitchen; 7. New basement bulkhead stairs and; 8. Surface preparation and finish painting at the interior. All prospective bidders must demonstrate experience in the successful completion of projects of a similar scope and nature that followed the Secretary of the Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties (Revised 1995) performed to the satisfaction of the Owner. All respondents will be notified in writing of the decision as to qualifications. Only those determined to be pre-qualified Historic Restoration General Contractors for this project will be invited to submit bids for the work. This property is listed on the New Jersey and National Registers of the Historic Places.
