Tulsa Public Schools is inviting proposals to provide and install new audio systems in several school auditoriums, in accordance with the terms and conditions detailed herein. Tulsa Public Schools wishes to contract with a reliable local vendor to provide new audio systems, including materials and installation, in the auditoriums or gymnasiums at Robertson Elementary, Monroe East, Carver Middle, Clinton Middle, Hale High, and Kendall Whittier Elementary Schools, as specified. Scope of Work for the standard size gyms at Robertson and Monroe East Elementaries:
Provide and install eight (8) Electro-Voice EVU2062 dual 8" speakers. Speakers to be installed in four rows of 2 speakers or two rows of 4 speakers.
- Provide and install one (1) BSS BSSBLU100-M 8 channel mixer with 8 button control panel
- Provide and install one (1) crown amplifier for speakers. Speakers to be wired 70V with external Electro-Voice transformers
- Provide one (1) Netgear R6400V wi-fi router and one Apple Ipad for system control
- Uninstall all existing speakers and wiring.
- All new speaker cable to be Plenum rated
- Vendor to provide all programming of the BSS and iPad controls
- Provide and install system amplifiers.
- Tune and equalize sound system
- Supply as built drawings to TPS
- Install one Shure QLX from the existing mobile rack
- TPS to provide network drop to equipment rack The period of performance for services subject to this solicitation and any resulting contract shall be from award through completion by August 8, 2022. Email any technical issue and specification questions pertaining to this Request for Proposal to the Purchasing Department at purchasing@tulsaschools.org by 4:00 p.m. on January 6, 2022. Include a return email and phone number and specifically reference the section of the RFP in question. All questions must be submitted in writing. Questions and answers will be distributed to all suppliers solicited in order to avoid any unfair advantage. These guidelines for communication have been established to ensure a fair and equitable evaluation process for all respondents. Any attempt to bypass the above lines of communication may be perceived as establishing an unfair or biased process and could lead to disqualification as a potential supplier. Inquiries for information regarding procurement procedures, proposal submission requirements, or other fiscal/administrative concerns shall be directed to my office at (918) 746-6205, or purchasing@tulsaschools.org. Responses must be sealed and marked on the lower left-hand corner with the proposal name and number, name and address of the vendor, opening date and time. No award will be made until the Tulsa Public Schools Committee has had sufficient time to evaluate the proposals. Tulsa Public Schools reserves the right to contract in the best interest of the District. Scope of Work for Middle schools/Large Gyms sites: Carver Middle School, Clinton Middle
School, Hale High School, and Kendall Whitter:
o Remove existing speakers, brackets, speaker wire, wall rack, mic cable to floor box. Install six (6) new
speakers and one (1) subwoofer. Install (2) new down facing speakers for court coverage.
o Three speakers will be installed on each side facing the bleachers. The sub-woofers will be installed in
the center of the room facing downward.
o Use new 12-gauge speaker wire - white
o Pull two (2) new shielded audio cables and cat cables to existing floor box located at mid court.
o Install custom plate in floor box with 2 XLR and network jack for BSS controller
o Mount one BSS controller on wall controller (location provide by TPS) and one detachable controller on
announcer table.
o install one Shure QLX from the existing mobile rack.
o Provide and install new 12 space wall mounted equipment rack in equipment room.
o Provide and install system amplifiers.
o Tune and equalize sound system
o Use plywood to protect floor when using lift
o Supply as built drawings to TPS
o TPS to provide network drop to equipment rack
o Provide user training on the operation of the sound system
