*As of December 21st, a groundbreaking has occurred. The City of Temple, Texas, desires to contract with a qualified and experienced contractor for Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMAR) services for the construction of improvements and an expansion to the Animal Shelter located at 620 Mama Dog Circle in Temple. In awarding a contract for this project, the City will follow the guidelines for CMAR contracts as outlined in the Texas Government Code (TGC), Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, whereby the City will contract with a selected architect for design services and will contract separately with a CMAR to serve as the general contractor whom will provide consultation during the design and construction phases of each project. The City has engaged RBDR, PLLC of Waco, Texas, to serve as the lead design professional for this project. In accordance with TGC Chapter 2269, Subchapter F, the City has elected to use a one-step selection process whereby contractor qualifications and proposed fees will be received and evaluated thru a single solicitation process. The deadline for all questions shall be 12:00 PM (noon) CST on Thursday, December 30, 2021.
