Site work for a water / sewer project in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Halifax Water's Infrastructure Master Plan (IMP), prepared in January 2020, recommended a future connection between the Pockwock Transmission Main System (West/Central Regions) and the Lake Major Transmission Main System (East Region). The transmission main link identified as the Bedford to Burnside System Interconnection would provide emergency back-up supply/redundancy between the two systems. The transmission main link would be either 750mm or 900mm in diameter. TIMELINE: CBCL was engaged only to assist with concept design, hydraulic modelling, and operational strategy development for a portion of Halifax Water's transmission main system. The study is ongoing. Related projects may be published in the future once they are approved to proceed with detailed design or construction. Coverage of this report is discontinued at this time.
