Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Edison, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
**As of February 21, 2022, This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The purpose of this contract is complete Toilet Room Renovations at the Edison Township Senior Center as specified in the bid documents, complete in place, using funding from the Township's Community Development Block Grant Programs. Prevailing wages established under the Davis-Bacon Act will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices, goals for minority and female participation, MBE and WBE participation, participation by Section 3 residents and businesses, and related matters. Section 3 requirements apply only to contracts awarded over $200,000.00. The provisions of the Federal Government Department of Labor's current wage rate determinations and the State's Prevailing Wage Act are requirements of this project. The higher of the Federal or State Wage Rate and the higher of the Federal or State Fringe Benefit Rate shall prevail. All work on this contract must be completed within an eight (8) month / two hundred forty (240) day period from issuance of a Notice to Proceed. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq.
