Deadline for Questions - 20 Jan 2022 4:00 PM This project consists of three separate areas. It contains portals to be sealed and structures that will be demolished. The portal seals will be a mix of standard bat gates, HDPE bat gates, stone mine seals, and wet seals. There will also be riprap channels and structure demolition that will be buried on-site. The areas will then be revegetated. The project does include some area that will be next to natural gas transmission lines and also along the Hatfield McCoy Trail system. Directions to site: From Charleston, take US Rt. 119 south approximately 52 miles to Logan exit. Turn left onto Rt. 73 travel approximately 2.5 miles to intersection with Rt. 10. Make left at traffic light onto Rt. 10 travel east approximately 3 miles to Stollings. Make left at traffic light onto Rt. 17. Travel north approximately 5 miles to Ethel Hollow Rd. Site is on right side along Ethel Hollow Rd. The work covered by the Special Provisions and Technical Specifications consists of furnishing all labor, plant, power, equipment and supplies, and performing all operations necessary for the completion of the project. The Contractor shall perform all operations necessary for: Standard Bat Gates HDPE Bat Gates Stone Mine Seals Wet Mine Seals Riprap Channels Structure Demolition Access Road Rehabilitation Temporary Access Road Construction Revegetation The Contractor shall also be responsible for surveying, including establishing construction baseline, measuring and developing all completed quantities on the job, and the ordering, purchase and delivery of any and all materials required for construction or required for development of support areas. The Contractor shall perform all other operations as incidental to the program as specified herein. The intent of the contract is to provide for the construction and completion in every detail of the work described. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies required to complete the work in accordance with the plans, specifications, and terms of the contract. Should any misunderstanding arise as to the intent or meaning of the contract, or any discrepancy appear, the decision of the Contract Administrator shall be final.
