Anaconda School District Public Schools #10 Request for Qualifications for: Preconstruction & Construction Services for Health & Safety Upgrades: Including Plumbing, Heating, Ventilation, and Energy Savings Projects The Board of Trustees of Anaconda School District Public Schools #10 (Owner) is seeking qualified General Contractor /Construction Management Firms to under-take preconstruction and Phase I construction services for the Anaconda School District at various school buildings in Anaconda, Montana 59711. It is the ASD10s request to procure a qualified firm to plan /design/construct the project. Project Requirements: o Provide cost estimates throughout design (SD:DD:CD) o Provide renderings and 3D modeling as needed o Participation and support for public outreach and stakeholder entities o Participation in ASD10 planning exercises o Participation in presentations to the Anaconda Deer Lodge County Public and the ASD10 School Board. o Responsible design/construction practices that meet established budgets o Permitting through all AHJs o Construction Administration Project Deadline: Anticipated construction schedule: Begin Spring/May 2022; Scope of Work: o The project will include the following but not limited to: o Demoing of bathrooms where needed at Anaconda Junior Senior High School o Construction of bathrooms as needed at Anaconda Junior Senior High School o Plumbing, heating, ventilation, etc. of bathrooms and classroom heating units at Anaconda Junior Senior High School o Possible remodel of locker rooms and showers at Memorial Gym Extensive experience in preconstruction services, including value engineering, design constructability and assistance, project management and subcontractor management required. Submittal Requirements 1. Cover letter / Statement of interest 2. Description of firms relevant experience with projects of similar size and scope 3. List examples of your firms specific experience with programming, designing and completing projects of similar scope and size on time and on budget. 4. References & contact numbers from previous representatives of projects completed of similar size 5. Proposed staff and relevant experience. 6. Disclosure of any Pending Litigation Against Firm 7. Proof of Ability to Secure Bonding 8. EMR or Safety Record Documentation. Selection Process The selection committee (ASD10 Districts Staff, Anaconda School Board Representatives, John Sullivan, Superintendent and the ASD10 Maintenance & Facilities Supervisor, Wyatt Conard) will review all submissions. Following this review, the ASD10 Districts School Board Representative will select firms for interviews, if needed. These interviews may include District staff members and School Board members. It is anticipated that these interviews will be held the week of January 17-21, 2022, if needed. After the interviews the District will enter into negotiations with the highest ranked candidate. If negotiations are unsuccessful with the highest ranked candidate, the negotiations will be terminated and start anew with the second ranked finalist, and thus, until a suitable agreement can be reached. Depending on the number and quality of submittals received, the District reserves the right to make the selection of the preferred firm based on the submissions information alone, and may decline to conduct the interview stage of the selection process. Selection of written submittals per MCA 18-8-204: The selection committee will consider the following criteria. Relative weight given to the specific criteria is not determined. However, qualifications and relevant experience in producing similar types of plans for similar clients and settings will be extremely important in the selection process as well as: o Experience with projects of similar size and scope in this region. o Key team member qualifications and experience. o Capacity to meet time and project budget requirements. o Local professional resources to be utilized for this effort. o Current and projected workload.
