Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Union, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The project consists of replacing an existing 7' diameter culvert with an open bottom metal box culvert and increasing the road surface elevation of a portion of Clarry Hill Road located approximately 0.7 miles south of the intersection with Route 17 in Union, Maine. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bid Documents is Landmark Corporation Surveyors & Engineers, 135 Rockland Street, Rockport, ME 04856, telephone 207-236-6757, contact Joel Lufkin, email lufkin@landmarkmaine.com. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bid Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Bidder may be represented at bid opening if so desired. Faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted. The Town of Union reserves the right to waive any informality in bids, to accept any bid, and to reject any or all bids should it be deemed in the best interest of the Town to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 60 days after the actual date of the bid opening.
