The Town of Queensbury is seeking proposals from qualified individuals, companies or firms for the services of a professional planning consultant in connection with the development and presentation of an updated Comprehensive Plan and updates to the town wide land use codes pursuant to Town Law. Said consultant shall be responsible for advising all Town Boards, and a Comprehensive Plan & Codes Steering Committee (CPCSC) regarding the development of said updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan and updated zoning ordinance. Coordination of public meetings and hearings, board meetings, public input and other related professional services,compilation of materials, drafting of updated Comprehensive Plan and land use codes are a portion of the services requested. The selected consultant is responsible to provide all of the necessary labor, equipment, and supplies required for the satisfactory completion of the work described within this RFP. It is expected that the Town of Queensbury's Plan Update, Land Use Codes Updates, and the SEQR review is developed in conjunction with Town Staff and the general public through an extensive public involvement effort. The chosen consultant will stay on schedule and budget, and any change to the finalized schedule needs to be in writing and have the approval of the Town.
