The Project consists of work at two sites in two separate municipalities. Project Site 1 in Scio Township includes demolition of existing sewer force main structure and air release valve, temporary bypass piping, installation of new sewer vault with piping, and valving. Project Site 2 in the City of Ann Arbor includes installation of two new manhole structures on the sewer force main, temporary bypass piping, and installation of a new odor control system. Both locations require sewer cleaning and televising. please message the Engineer if you'd like the invite sent to your email direct. Representatives of Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the Project. Bidders are recommended to attend and participate in the conference. Engineer will transmit to all prospective Bidders of record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to questions arising at the conference. Oral statements may not be relied upon and will not be binding or legally effective. Digital copies thereof may be obtained on or after 2:00 pm, local time, December 14, 2021 from the online plan room section of the website of the ENGINEER, www.ohm-advisors.com. A digital download fee of $15.00 will apply. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bidders should direct correspondence to the Engineer. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond for a sum no less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid will be required with each Bid. Bids shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes plainly marked with the project name and the name of the bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of the Bids. This time period may be extended by mutual agreement of the Owner and any Bidder or Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to accept any or all Bids and award the contract to other than the lowest bidder, to waive any irregularities or informalities or both; to reject any or all Bids; and in general to make the award of the Contract in any manner deemed by the Owner, in its sole discretion, to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Work will be substantially completed on or before September 1, 2022, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before October 1, 2022. Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price.
