Demolish and replace existing roof system at Patterson Dormitory in summer 2022 The work to be done under this contract consists of executing and completing all work required for the University of Massachusetts Project Number UMA #22-10, Patterson Hall Roof Replacement, 204 Sunset Avenue, Amherst, MA. B. General Project Information : 1. The project consists of removal and replacement of approximately 18,370 square feet of low slope roofs at Patterson Hall. C. The work will include all operations necessary to deliver the building in a fully installed and operable condition including obtaining all necessary licenses, permits, and certificates.The scope of work, without limiting the generality thereof, includes all labor, materials, equipment and services required to perform the work described fully in the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but is not limited to the following major work: 1. Replacement of roofing and flashing. Sealed proposals submitted on a form furnished by the University of Massachusetts, and clearly identified as a Bid, endorsed with the name and address of the Bidder, the Project and Contract Number will be received from: General Bidders.Every General Bidder must submit with their Bid a Certificate of Eligibility available from the Division of Capital Asset Management along with an Update Statement before their Bid may be considered. Contractor must be DCAM Prime Certified in Roofing Estimate: $900,000.00 Patterson Roof Replacement The work shall be completed on or before 08/05/2022 from the Notice to Proceed and in general the Project includes: Demolish and replace existing roof system at Patterson Dormitory. Minimum rates of wages to be paid on the project have been determined by the Commissioner of Labor & Workforce Development under the provision of Sections 26 & 27, Chapter 149 of the General Laws. Wage rates are listed in the Contract form portion of specification book. Each General Bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of the total bid. Deposits shall be in the form of a BID BOND, CERTIFED, TREASURER'S or CASHIER'S CHECK payable to the University of Massachusetts. Deposits shall be returned in accordance with law. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 44A 44I inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and all bids if it be in the public interest to do so.
